Frequently Asked Questions for Pharmacists on License Renewal

Q:  What are the CE requirements for Pharmacists?

A:  All Pharmacists are required to have, at minimum, a total of 15 hours to renew every year.  Eight (8) of those hours have to be LIVE hours and the remainder hours can be either Live or Correspondence.

Q:  I can’t log in -- the system will not take my license number.  What do I do?

A:  All license numbers are 5 digits.  You might need to enter a zero as your first digit.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q:  Do I need a business address listed to renew my Pharmacist License?

A:  You will be blocked from renewing if your employment lists you as UNKNOWN or is blank. If you are currently listed as unemployed, you will be allowed to renew.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q:  Is there a grace period for renewal and earning CE?

A:  Yes, the Board allows a 60 day grace period after the December 31st deadline.  You may continue to earn CE for your renewal and renew during that time with no penalty.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q:  If my CE certificate says that my hours are CONTACT hours, does that mean the hours will be considered LIVE?

A:  Not necessarily, check your ACPE number.  All LIVE hours are denoted by an “L” in the ACPE number.

Q:  How do I delete a course that I entered incorrectly?
