GPS COORDINATES: How to Obtain Your Pharmacy's or Your DME Facility's GPS Coordinates

The Board of Pharmacy collects GPS data to enhance geographical analysis of Pharmacy and DME permits and assist the State of NC with disaster planning.

We have assembled this help page so you can provide the most accurate data possible. To obtain your facility's coordinates, please visit one of these two sites: http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/geocode or http://geocoder.us/ and simply enter the complete physical address of your pharmacy or DME.

GPS data is available in many formats, but ideally we would like the data in the format of Latitude degrees minutes-decimal, Longitude degrees minutes-decimal (e.g. 35°54.63, -78°58.998) or Degree decimal format (e.g. 35.9105,  -78.9833)

NOTE: If you are located in North Carolina, your latitude and longitude should be near the range of N 34 to 36 and W -75 to -84, respectively.
